Week 9: Post 2 19th Oct

This week wasn’t all that busy, and I spent much of it collecting an abundance of off-cuts. Although, it was suggested that, perhaps, I could include a sculpture in the exhibition.

As a result, with these same materials, I decided to add smaller details to pieces that I’d done previously to polish them off.

Nonetheless, throughout my search for offcuts, I discovered a large, curved board—most likely the remnants of what might’ve been a longboard.

Of course, this particular offcut inspired me to consider another city—suspended on a platform that, in the end, would be mounted against a wall. Whether I want to start from scratch and create another piece specifically for the exhibition is something I need to have a serious think about. For one, time would be a serious constraint because the illustration piece I intend to include in the exhibition will need more concentration and work because it is taking much longer to complete than I’d initially hypothesised.

It may be easier to finish off one of the almost finished sculptures instead.
